Context
Large service organisation with 1000+ documented operational processes distributed across departments — fragmented, partially outdated, and largely unsearchable. No central technical ownership, no shared data strategy.
Challenge
Making institutional knowledge usable in practice: structuring process documentation so it can be found, maintained, and acted on — and introducing a level of technical governance the organisation had never had.
My Role
Technical lead and independent advisor. Introduced an AI-assisted process documentation system that makes 1000+ process documents structured, searchable, and maintainable. Established technical ownership across departments, facilitated architecture decisions at multiple stakeholder levels, and designed an event-driven target architecture as the foundation for future platform development.
Result
AI-based knowledge management system in production. Technical governance structure established. Architecture and platform recommendation delivered; implementation roadmap in progress.
